•Consulting with the Plant manager and the Technical superintendents and review/check the tender specifications to see if it is complete enough to broadcast an invitation totender.
•Checking the availability of the Yards worldwide to position our vessels and make an advance budget and planning for forthcoming repairs/conversions.
•Drawing up an ITT in collaboration with the ship management department and sending out to the preferred yards.
•Always monitoring the infrastructure and technology developments in the Yards to be updated for forthcoming repairs.
•Monitoring the new shipyards, preparing and concluding framework agreements both commercially and legally in collaboration with other stakeholders involved.
•Evaluation of received bids and advices on the basis of these results to the plant department.
•Analyzing the results obtained from the tenders.
•The commercial and contractual negotiation and contracting companies selected in consultation with the Plant Department.
•Tracing the project with the project managers during the entire process from tendering to finalization of repairs and analysing the Yard Performance based on the End Repair Report and assign/update the Technical, commercial and Contractual Score of the Yard.
Prominent Accomplishments: Contracted the first Cruise vessel refurbishment contract of the company with Stena-Ro-Ro for more than 10 million Euros.
Contracting 3 vessels in a row from Petrobras / Brazil on an open tender process by developing an algorithm to estimate the competitor pricing.
•Dual function in Business Development for industrial projects and sales & marketing for ship repair activities.
•Day to day management of the sales agents in UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Norway, Denmark and Sweden, ensuring they are on track for achieving KPI’s.
•Setting sales and marketing KPI’s to manage activity within estimation team.

Prominent Accomplishments: Contracted 2 x 150,000 DWT (Suez-max) Tankers to a South Korean shipyard in 06/2010 for a total budget reaching $110 million. Implemented a new design feature to the existing and on order ships which has created and total efficiency of 11% on the daily bunker consumption of the vessels. The ROI was only 6 months.
• Calculate demurrages for the voyages completed and responding Owner’s & Charterer`s claims and negotiating for claim settlement purposes.
• Bunker calculation; fixing/procurement of Bunker to the vessel in order to perform voyages at the most suitable port according to vessels’ schedule.
• Deal with local and worldwide agents on disbursement accounts and agency nomination and instructions to loading/discharging port agents and responsible for arranging transit passage of tankers through Canals.
• Handle communications through ship owner, broker and cargo owners and updating all the parties about the loading/discharging availability of the vessels.
• Prepare vessel`s loss / profit account (Voyage Performance Reports) monthly basis.
• The coordination of all operations and/or technical matters in line with the Company’s policies, maritime rules and regulations and industry standards.
• Implementing machinery and hull performance monitoring in the context of long-term vessels’ operational costs savings.
• Dealing with any damage repairs preserving vessels commercial competence and originating long-term corrective/preventive actions in order to avoid reoccurrence.
