Yaya Stevelmans

I started playing football when i was 4 years. Since then i am in love with the ball. I start training at an amature club BSV Limburgia and started training with Michel Mommertz and Jan Janssen the best technical trainers of the Netherlands. Both worked with the Wiel Coerver method. Soon they wanted me at Roda JC, Fortuna Sittard and KRC Genk. I chose Roda JC and worked hard and developed good. But i wanted to move to Fortuna because the club was playing even better. They had a good generation of players of my year. I was there for 3 years and every year I was selected to train with the 2006 boys because they were so happy with me. In 2021 Alemannia Aachen asked me to come to them. They played with my age group in the Regional Liga, the highest league possible in U15. We played against several German top teams and I almost played all these matches. In 2023 I left Alemannia Aachen and moved on to VfL 08 Vichttal. Here I immediately became the captain and played 45 matches in the season. In this season I play at the U19 and i played every official minute. In 13 league matches i played 1170 minutes. Besides that I played 2 cups matches. With the friendlys i played 23 matches in the first half of the season . In January 2025 Roda JC crossed my path again and i took the chance. Within a few weeks I was in the starting 11. And before the end of the season I played some matches in the U21, when i was still U18 player. At the end of the season they told me they wanted me in the U21 for season 2025/2026. Since November 2025 I trained at least twice a week with the first team. And I made my unoffical debut also in November 2025. On the 24th of April 2026 I made, on the age of 18 years, my offical debut in de KKD League (2nd league) against Jong AZ and played 90 minutes.

In season 2026/2027 I started pre season with the first team and are still training with them now and then. I play all my matches in the U21, where I always in the starting 11, and up to now I was 5 times selected for the 1st team of Roda JC and play all friendly matches with them.
