- During this job, my crew and I worked on the installation, alignment and fit-up of the Heavy Wall, Big Bore Piping. These joints were classified as golden welds which could not be hydro tested therefore fit-up was critical with very low tolerances for mis-alignment. There were various forms of rigging used to install this piping in the gravity-based structure. At the end of this job we worked on punch list items for various deficiencies. Most of this job was working at heights where safety was an utmost priority, especially for dropped objects.
