Work History

Research Assistant – Behavioural Research

Leiden University × PsyQ Psychotrauma
01.2026 - Current
  • Contributed to applied behavioral research in a randomized, multi-arm study (N ≈ 40) evaluating a non-invasive light-based intervention, comparing different timing conditions against standard treatment.
  • Supported longitudinal data collection across 7–8 repeated time points per participant, producing 250+ structured user observations capturing stress, emotional state, sleep, and recovery-related outcomes.
  • Worked with validated behavioral and self-report measures to translate complex psychological constructs into analyzable metrics, enabling within-user trajectories and between-group comparisons over time.
  • Assisted with data quality control, adherence tracking, and research reporting, translating longitudinal behavioral data into clear, decision-relevant insights for interdisciplinary teams.

Research Assistant

Fainareti NGO – Centre for Women’s Perinatal Mental Health
05.2025 - 09.2025
  • Co-developed a mixed-methods study on reproductive decision-making and fertility intentions.
  • Conducted qualitative coding and supported quantitative behavioral analysis.

Research Assistant

University of Oslo
01.2024 - 01.2025
  • Designed and implemented behavioral experiments across 2 multi-study research programs, analyzing intuition vs. analytical processing and trust in AI- vs. human-generated content, with 1,000+ participants, 5+ experiments, and 10,000+ individual trials collected online.
  • Programmed high-complexity experimental tasks in Qualtrics and OpenSesame, including randomized multi-condition designs (up to 8 difficulty levels), reaction-time capture (sub-second precision), confidence ratings, and counterbalanced stimulus presentation.
  • Analyzed behavioral choice and reaction-time data in R using repeated-measures ANOVA, regression, and polynomial trend analyses, supporting within-subject and between-condition comparisons; contributed to a first-author conference poster and a manuscript in preparation within an international research team.

Selected Research Outputs

  • Stimulus visibility influences intuitive judgments and identification in the same way — Poster presentation, Experimental Psychology Society (EPS), 2025 (First Author).
  • Richter, J., Haugen, J., Paparoidami, V., Reber, R. (Manuscript in preparation). Persuasive messages written by generative AI are perceived as more credible than human-written messages.

Startup Exposure

  • Participated in the EU-Startups Summit (Malta), engaging with early-stage startups, founders, accelerators, and investors, and gaining exposure to product validation, funding models, and go-to-market strategies in the European startup ecosystem.
  • Completed the STARTAB – Explore Enterprise programme (King’s Trust International × Corallia), an intensive entrepreneurship seminar cycle covering customer discovery, business models, pitching, and early-stage execution.
  • Actively involved with PLNT (Leiden Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship) through startup-focused workshops, talks, and networking events, engaging with a multidisciplinary community of founders, researchers, product builders, and mentors, and strengthening understanding of how behavioural insights and user research apply in startup contexts.
