Work History

PhD Candidate

Delft University of Technology
05.2021 - 05.2025
  • Research role where I focused on the organic coating architecture and used this feature to control the anticorrosion properties.
  • The work involved collaboration with internal and external sciences.
  • I bridged and innovated the interaction fields of organic coatings and corrosion science.

Internship

Aachen-Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM)
09.2019 - 07.2020
  • Master's thesis on green polymer synthesis and monomer synthesis using biobased building blocks.
  • My work helped refine and promote the green polymer synthesis through handling the syntheses of the building block as systematically operated through a model compound to find the best properties.
  • Thesis supervised by Dr Katrien Bernaets: 'A green route towards biobased and melt-processable polyazomethines'.

Student Project

Polyscope Polymers / Maastricht University
01.2019 - 07.2019
  • The where two project where we collabereted and researched foaming behaviour and material performance of recycled polypropylene/polyamide-6 materials.
  • This was done through multidisciplinary teamwork work which required good scientific communication.
  • The second was performed in the same way, where we curated greener building blocks for the synthesis polymer of similar or better performance.

Hobbies and Interests

  • Reading
  • Molecules
  • Digital art
  • Listening to music (especially string instruments, violins)

Reading, molecules, digital art, listening to music (especially string instruments, violins).

So, about my reading, I mostly read mostly novels including visual novels, just the more of the light stuff and more things which are more relaxed, so it's of the epic but more of the ones which are more self-reflective and more to tell the story about something we can reflect on as for molecules that are of it because even though professionally I like molecules, but also, and I will see them even though they are functional in the world. They are also autistic in the own right as you can already see how they would affect the people in the real life based on how they are structured. And as for listening to music, I have a wide array of films and most of my musical instruments was a lie, things to listen to are very instrument-oriented, so thinking of some tricks with movies, some tricks with video games, that is what I like.
