Core Duties:

  • Internal Coordination: Collaborating with various departments of the Sheltech Group of Companies to effectively address VAT-related matters.
  • Data Management: Regular posting in VAT software, and safe maintenance of records and documents.
  • Transaction compliance: Ensure all product dispatches and receipts (inventory) are supported by proper Mushak 6.3 challans, aligning with approved sales invoices.
  • Document Maintenance: Properly manage purchase-related documents, including local and imported items (e.g., Bill of Entry).
  • VDS Management: Calculate and deduct (VDS), prepare treasury challans, and issue 6.6 certificates.
  • VAT Register Preparation: Prepare and maintain all VAT registers (e.g., Mushak 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, 6.5, 6.7, 6.8, 6.10, and all other registers) as per legal requirements.

Reporting and reconciliation:

  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit online VAT returns (Mushak-9.1) with precise adjustments.
  • Reconciliation: Align VAT ledgers with the company's annual audit reports to ensure accuracy.

Strategic Support:

  • Input-Output Analysis: Assist in declarations (Mushak-4.3), and perform cost analysis.
  • Reporting and Communication: Draft correspondence for VAT/customs offices, and prepare periodic reports for the HOD.
  • Audit Assistance: Support the HOD (Head of Department) during VAT audits, compliance checks, and hearings by addressing relevant queries.

Compliance and liaison:

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with the VAT and SD Act of 2012, and the VAT Rules of 2016.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining professional relationships with VAT authorities, Customs, and NBR.
  • Other Responsibilities: Execute assignments for other companies within the group, as directed by management.
