Intern
Tec De Monterrey University Criminal Law Frim
08.2024 - Current
I gained valuable experience working in the only university law clinic in the state that handles sexual abuse and domestic violence cases, specifically offering legal advice to neighborhoods suffering from severe poverty. I applied the concepts I learned directly into my research paper for the IB Global Politics Higher Level Internal Assessment, which focused on judicial and fiscal injustices in Mexico.
Being the first high school student to work at the law clinic, I was exposed to fiscal processes, criminal code, and first-hand mentorship by well-respected lawyers.
Sorted and organized files, spreadsheets, and reports, and learned to use the nationwide data bank that stores the evidence and trial recordings alongside witness testimonies.

Cambiando Historias / Unidos

Cambiando Historias is a nationwide non-governmental organization that focuses on helping underfunded communities. We make monthly visits to the public health clinic, IMMS 15, which provides care for cancer patients.
We assist both pediatric and geriatric patients by providing food for caretakers and nurses, sanitary products, toys for the children, basic postpartum necessities, and activities like arts, crafts, and lottery. The foundation operates throughout Mexico, but is centralized in Nuevo León. I have been attending the clinic for years, and we even raised over $20,000 MXN to remodel the pediatric visitation room.
We held a sponsorship with HEB Mexico, and every year we organize an event for over 400 people, mainly low-income families. This event includes food baskets, Christmas presents, visits from Santa with photos, and warm clothing. I served on the committee for three years, and we worked closely with our city's government to coordinate this event. hand in hand for this event.
Additionally, we visit remote neighborhoods to provide sanitation services and medical support, offering breast cancer screenings, a domestic abuse helpline, and resources.
During my time with the organization, I have interacted with and assisted over 600 people across the state. I have held roles as Director of Dynamics, Staff Alpha, and Volunteer.
Unidos is another non-governmental organization that brings together disabled individuals of all ages year-round, every Saturday. It collaborates with schools across the state for volunteer programs and promotes inclusion among students of all ages, while fostering social development. I have had the opportunity to provide training on LSE and wheelchair procedures.
I have gained over 4,000 hours of work experience, and these organizations have greatly inspired me to pursue a major in neuroscience.

Limitless / Unidos
08.2022 - Current
Limitless is a student-based group focused on creating a more inclusive society. Over the past three years, we have held more than 25 events, with attendance ranging from 100 to 300 people per event. These events address pressing issues related to the exclusion of disabled people. Some of our past themes include: Paralympics, Princess-Women Empowerment, Limitless Educates, Fearless Middle School, Job fairs, and many more.
The group not only trains students and volunteers, but also visits underfunded schools across the state, giving educational talks on how to promote inclusion in various environments. We also offer training programs for companies and their employees. In return, these companies become our sponsors.
Over the three years I have been involved, I have held positions as Coordinator of Training, Vice President, and Staff Alpha.
Our group has also promoted inclusive changes within our own campus, making sure that students and volunteers invited to our events have access to all the buildings and classrooms.
Raised over 40,000 MXN pesos in fundraising and sponsorships for our events
Cultivated a strong community for parents with disabled children, ranging from open discussion forums to carpools, creating a support web for the families.
