More than 14+years’ experience in food packaging development with excellent technical knowledge & project management skill. Currently based in Utrecht Netherlands, and leading packaging development function in Jacobs Douwe Egberts. Previously worked with Mondelez International, Unilever Research & Development center, Bangalore. Support day-to-day program operations with expertise in records management and resource coordination. • Responsible for packaging development for Beans and Roast & Ground portfolio. (LO’r,D.E ,Omnia, Jacobs,Nova Brasilia)
• Responsible for development of flexible, rigid packaging materials (i.e. Suitable laminates structure, Injection molded item, display boxes, corrugated boxes, Thermoformed Plastic tray, labels ,stretch wrap, shrink wrap etc) in line with product formulation & project requirements.
• Responsible for entire packaging development (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary) for all new projects (NPD) from idea phase to launch phase.
• Responsible for Sustainability and Productivity projects to meet the global sustainability guidelines and increase the brand profitability through productivity.
• Co-ordination with different cross-functional stakeholders like (Product development team, production units, marketing team, supply chain team, purchase team, design agency, supplier, 3rd Party etc) for timely delivery of projects.
• Working with product development team in conducting shelf life study of the new products in various types of packaging material to arrive at optimum specifications of packaging material to be used.
• Conducting packaging machine trials followed by transit trial (if required).
• Providing technical support to central purchase team during the new supplier bidding process.
• Key line /engineering drawing development, artwork checking & approval, providing print specification to design agency for different printing substrate.
• Developing specifications of all packaging material, material codes in & supporting document & share the same with supplier & internal department.
• Providing maximum load ability (Palletized & loose) to reduce freight charges.

• Strong in-depth knowledge in flexible packing material (all type of laminates – foil based, metalized, high barrier, high speed, heat seal, special effect for aesthetics- matte, silk, polymer properties, barrier properties, costing , various testing method , manufacturing process etc).
• In-depth knowledge in Rigid Plastic container (Injection molding /PET Tray, IML container , Blow molding, extrusion, IBM, ISBM, Multilayer bottle for high barrier, mold etc)
• Machine Material Interface expertise on global machine platforms such as Mespak, Bosch, Rovema,KHS and end of line automation.
• Team building and leadership and capability development within team.
• Qualitative approach towards projects and identify the opportunities within categories.
