Project: LTA 34/35; Client: Saudi Aramco; Vessels: DEHE and CASTORO 12

Main activities :

• Installation, assembly and setup of the field joint coating equipment
• Performance of the field joint coating Pre-Qualification Test with Saudi Aramco PID.
• Ensuring the maintenance of the field joint coating equipment.
• Ensuring that the field joint coating works are carried out in accordance with the applicable field joint coating procedures, inspection & test plans and at the same time, aiming to optimize the work and cycle time.
• Instruction to use and maintain the field joint coating equipment and perform of the field joint coating and coating repair works in accordance with applicable project documents.
• Organization and coordination of remedial actions and equipment repair activities in case of breakdown
• Improved operations through consistent hard work and dedication.

The focus of the work was on the R&D project for Internal Field Joint Coating equipment. The main activities with the role of Equipment Development Engineer were the following:

• Fully understand the issue to be solved deepening the process and equipment constraints.
• Define a range of possible solutions, interacting with colleagues and/or external suppliers
• Write down the technical specification of what is required to start a procurement request.
• Engineering work related to the research and development of new general field joint coating equipment.
• Preparation of various reports related to the work carried out by the Equipment Development division in Ploiesti. Including the processing of the equipment logs using Microsoft Excel, interpretation of the results and making suggestions for improvement.
• Making 2D drawings of various mechanical components in AutoCAD for manufacturing by the mechanical workshop department.
• Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.
