Spearheaded the coordination of CCCM cluster to facilitate the partners providing life-saving humanitarian assistance to the displaced population of Yemen, also planned and developed different strategies to promote the use of existing standards, policies and guidelines (e.g., SPHERE, Good Enough Guide).
4 Standardize tools/guidance notes for optimum planning and implementation of Cluster responses to cross-cutting issues like Housing-Land-Property (HLP), Protection mainstreaming, integrated approaches (WASH), and Environment.

Mainstreamed the National Policy on Durable Solutions of the Climate Change and Disaster Induced Displaced Populations into the National Adaptation Plan (NAP). Guided MoCCA-NDMO and partners in mainstreaming CCA & DRR projects into the national monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework as well as for training on SOPs for the Durable Solution framework.
- Set up the National Displacement Tracking Mechanism to provide partners an informed and strategic guide for the CBDRR projects designed to assist the communities affected by the impacts of CC & DRR related events.
- Rendered a keen eye for details to identify different strategies and resources for the Government of Vanuatu (GoV), across its various Ministries and Departments, to meet the GCF Performance Standards.
- Led IOM’s emergency assistance program in response to government/NDMO request for technical assistance (Ambae volcanic eruption), also assisted DG Climate Change in follow up of adoption process of proposed draft displacement policy and keep updating the IOM in-country mission, regional office, and IDF secretariat.

Additionally;
Developed a strategy and mobilized the resources through the government and partners and achieved task of registration of the entire displaced population at different islands. Provided situation update to IOM Australia, Regional Office Bangkok and HQ Geneva on the evolving emergency situation.
- Advocated for additional resources, developed the requisite proposal, and negotiated for standby resources deployment.
- Assisted provincial government in setting up the Camp Coordination and communication with IDPs mechanism and federal govt in data analysis to provide displacement situation to the Council of Ministers (COM) that provided for the strategic decision regarding the repatriation of IDPs.
Facilitated the provincial government/NDMO in repatriation planning and the NDMO in designing and conducting the post emergency National Lessons Leaned Exercise.
Emergency Program Coordinator for the humanitarian assistance program Yemen. Planned and coordinated the humanitarian assistance in entire Yemen and the role was discontinued to war in 2015
Provided leadership in emergency and crisis preparedness, response and recovery; work in partnership to prevent and reduce shelter-related morbidity and mortality; facilitated the Cluster Coordinator in fulfilling the Emergency Shelter Cluster mission.
Being Shelter/CCCM Technical adviser, carried out a mandate of diverse variety from the overview of IASC minimum standards of shelter program to reconstruction rehabilitation, support to Cluster coordinator on day to day basis. Ensured evidence-based actions, gap-filling, and sound coordination. Provided oversight of compliance of Cluster partner program with agreed technical guidelines, and advise the Cluster Coordinator accordingly. Enhanced accountability, predictability and effectiveness of emergency shelter actions. Worked with Governmental authorities and other partners to ensure application of consistent damage assessment methodologies.
Through the HSP, UNICEF Syria supported education ministry of Syria to improve quality of education and schools physical environment by providing teacher training, schools supply, WASH in Schools and Schools rehabilitation. Target schools were about 400 in eight govern-orates all over the country where Iraqi children were enrolled. Program was also providing technical and financial support in Health, WASH, Child protection.
- Conducted environmental, hazard, health and safety assessments prior to the planning and implementation of required engineering measures.
- Designed engineering solutions as needed in the field for any demolition and reconstruction activity, including but not limited to; ground works, design of retaining walls, shoring, drainage, pathways and other infrastructure.
- Evaluated implementing partners and contractors performance, tracked progress and conduct quality assurance test, prepared BoQs, including cost estimates, and produce relevant material for tendering, to identify suitable contractors.
