Responsible for the safe supply of 81 million litres of potable water via 6 water treatment works within the South East Wales region in line with regulatory requirements. Management of 32 FTE comprising operational supervisors, production technicians & skilled ME&I craftsmen. Area production lead with regard to obtaining funding through clear stakeholder engagement to deliver capital works to protect assets within my control, water quality & the environment.

Pride myself in planned works delivery through thorough & diligent planning & risk assessment including leading on the business first water treatment works bypass to undertake critical maintenance on site. I continue to deliver critical tasks never before complete within the business to include 8 final water tank cleans to restore confidence with our regulator.

Responsible for monitoring, reporting and articulating area performance key performance indicators to senior managers within the business including operational maintenance completion, unplanned outages, statutory maintenance completion (LOLER, PSSR) & financial performance.

Extensive contractor management across a broad range of expertise.

Responsible for supervisory duties of a team of Production & Maintenance Technicians. To include work planning & scheduling, training & evaluating performance as required.

Lead on compliance of water treatment works within the operating area to ensure compliant to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 10500.

Responsible for the maintenance, repair & installation of instrumentation within the operating area. Specialised in water quality analysers, flow meters/switches, levels, pressures, PLC/SCADA & telemetry outstations including radio communications. Assisting with the continuous improvement of the quality management system.
