undefinedMy career started off with four years in corporate positions in engineering, logistics and supply chain management. During this time I also took on my first line management role at the age of 24. I then branched out into management consulting where I spent six years on interesting projects ranging from business strategy and economic feasibility studies, to business process reengineering and IT architecture design. During this time I was exposed to the manufacturing, logistics, professional services and health industries and also performed consulting management duties.
I then spent three years in public sector as a process engineer and process architecture manager. During this time I gained more in-depth knowledge of business process management and -reengineering, and Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
My SAP career started in 2007 and included roles in business transformation consulting, services executive management, presales and sales management. I had various formal and informal management positions during my tenure, looking after teams of between 7 and 20 people. Some of the projects that stand out from my time as customer-facing consultant, are a five-year engagement with a large retail bank as services executive on their core banking transformation journey, and a two-year project as SAP enterprise architect at a global ENR company. I also played project management roles for short projects while in the SAP Services team, and gained experience in various additional industries during my time in Presales. For the past three years, I have been in a sales management position for the SAP training business.
I have the most fun when I am required to break down complex problems into solvable bits, and translating strategy into action. Therefore it was no surprise that, during my time at SAP, I naturally developed an enterprise architecture specialisation. Together with business process management, these are the fields I am very passionate about. I will also consider account management or programme management roles, as I gained sufficient experience during my time at SAP, to fulfill these roles with confidence.
