Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over seven years of postgraduate experience gained in tertiary teaching hospitals, district-level services and independent consultant practice. Holder of MRCOG and Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise. Currently working as Lead Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at a multispeciality hospital participating in India's government-funded health insurance programme for economically disadvantaged populations, delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to a predominantly rural patient population. Experienced in labour ward leadership, high-risk obstetrics, operative vaginal delivery, elective and emergency caesarean section, and management of obstetric emergencies including severe postpartum haemorrhage requiring stepwise devascularisation and internal iliac artery ligation. Possess experience in vaginal surgery, pelvic floor reconstruction and minimally invasive gynaecological procedures, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy with intracorporeal suturing, laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy and ovarian cystectomy. Regularly perform obstetric and gynaecological ultrasonography, including fetal growth assessment, Doppler studies, early pregnancy scanning and transvaginal ultrasonography. Actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, simulation-based education, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives. Particular interests include minimally invasive gynaecology, urogynecology and maternal medicine.

• I currently function as the lead consultant for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology unit at KG Hospital, supervising two medical officers and five nursing staff while coordinating labour ward activities, emergency obstetric services and day-to-day clinical operations.
• Leadership responsibilities include prioritising workload, facilitating multidisciplinary communication, supporting junior colleagues in clinical decision-making and ensuring timely escalation during obstetric emergencies.
• During my tenure as Assistant Professor at N.D. Desai Medical College, I supervised undergraduate students, interns and junior residents, assisted in organising teaching schedules and duty rosters and participated in departmental academic activities and examinations.
• Service improvement initiatives undertaken include:
• Introduction of structured digital record-keeping systems for inpatient and outpatient services to improve documentation, accessibility of clinical information and continuity of care.
• Strengthening informed consent practices and clinical documentation processes to enhance patient understanding and support safer clinical practice.
• Adoption of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) principles in obstetric and gynaecological postoperative care to facilitate earlier mobilisation, improved recovery and patient comfort.

• Teaching has been an integral component of my clinical practice throughout postgraduate training, academic appointments and independent consultant work.
• As an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at N.D. Desai Medical College, I was actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching through bedside teaching, small-group discussions and simulation-based learning sessions for MBBS students, interns and junior residents.
