
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over seven years of postgraduate experience gained in tertiary teaching hospitals, district-level services and independent consultant practice. Holder of MRCOG and Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise. Currently working as Lead Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at a multispeciality hospital participating in India's government-funded health insurance programme for economically disadvantaged populations, delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to a predominantly rural patient population. Experienced in labour ward leadership, high-risk obstetrics, operative vaginal delivery, elective and emergency caesarean section, and management of obstetric emergencies including severe postpartum haemorrhage requiring stepwise devascularisation and internal iliac artery ligation. Possess experience in vaginal surgery, pelvic floor reconstruction and minimally invasive gynaecological procedures, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy with intracorporeal suturing, laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy and ovarian cystectomy. Regularly perform obstetric and gynaecological ultrasonography, including fetal growth assessment, Doppler studies, early pregnancy scanning and transvaginal ultrasonography. Actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, simulation-based education, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives. Particular interests include minimally invasive gynaecology, urogynecology and maternal medicine.
I maintain an active interest in research and academic activities alongside clinical practice. My postgraduate thesis focused on maternal and fetal outcomes in placental abruption, and I continue to participate in scholarly work in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
