- Having regular meetings with the teams for the strategic development of the department.
- Place key dates in the department’s calendars for events, parent meetings, school-life schedules, and organisation of extra and co-curricular activities
- Submit all school purchase orders given by the deadline set by the Head of Preschool and the Head of School and ensure that all curriculum provision is taken care of.
- Support and guide colleagues to select the most appropriate teaching and learning methods and resources to meet the needs of the full range of pupils - Securing and sustaining effective teaching of the subject through structured monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of teaching and learning.

- Active participation in the School’s performance management system through lesson observations, feedback to teaching staff, work sampling, written reports to the Head of Preschool.

- Establish and implement clear guidelines for standards of work and behaviour within the curriculum.
- Co-ordinate procedures for monitoring and recording of progress, and the setting of targets.
- Ensure that pupils’ work is regularly assessed, that feedback to facilitate progress is given and acted upon.
- Be responsible for the writing and issuing of reports, progress checks and references within the Preschool.
- Develop structures to ensure progression and continuity in terms of cross-curricular work.
- Promote teaching and learning styles which are consistent with the British curriculum and Learning Principles.

- Planning and resourcing continuous provision and adult focused activities to support learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Using a variety of teaching strategies, which involve planned adult intervention, first-hand experience and talk as a vehicle for learning
- Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment for every pupil in the class
- Keep records and reports on personal and social needs of pupils
- Maintain resources in the classroom/outside learning environment ensuring they are kept up to date, accessible and support learning.
