I’ve had the privilege of being part of the 589 Royal Canadian Air Cadets for five years, where I played lead snare drum and gained valuable leadership experience. During my time there, I also went away to basic training camp and completed a general survival course, which really helped me develop resilience and practical skills. Volunteering at the Carbonear Swimming Pool has been another fulfilling part of my life, where I’ve had the opportunity to give back to my community while earning certifications in lifeguard training and first aid. On top of that, I was a competitive swimmer for six years, earning awards like “Most Dedicated Swimmer” and “Most Improved” in my first two years. These experiences have shaped me into a disciplined, hardworking, and service-oriented individual.
During my time working at Canadian Tire in the warehouse, I took on a range of responsibilities that contributed to a smooth and efficient operation. One of my key tasks was assisting customers with heavy or bulky items, ensuring they were safely and quickly loaded into their vehicles. I took pride in providing excellent customer service by addressing their needs with a friendly, approachable demeanor. In addition to helping customers, I was responsible for restocking shelves, ensuring that products were organized and available for shoppers. This required attention to detail and an understanding of inventory management to maintain a well-stocked and orderly warehouse. My role allowed me to contribute to the overall positive shopping experience while also fostering teamwork within the warehouse to keep things running smoothly.
