• Promoted within Strabag UK to Managing QS, and promotion of role within SCS JV, operating as the S1 Asset Lead, still reporting into a Commercial Lead (Senior Commercial Manager), however a restructure means that Commercial Lead is more engaged with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) rather than delivery.
• Directly managing a commercial team of 5 people, as well as a supervisory role for many others. Responsible for setting agenda and directing duties for commercial team whilst being responsible for team performance and managing expectations with SCS JV SLT and HS2.
• Experienced as a line manager, responsibilities include overseeing development of team members and tracking performance to ensure that they are progressing and unlocking their full potential. Reporting back to parent company on competency and development of staff members.
• Asset Lead overseeing completion of Atlas Road Logistics Tunnel (£115m), and transitioning from planning into delivery phase for Euston Tunnels scheme (£460m). Asset-level ownership for knowing/safeguarding SCS's contractual position under Main Works Contract & at Subcontractor level, taking cognisance of submitted cl32 construction programme and forecast cost/value position + risk provisions.
• Enrolled in Strabag's "Development Centre" - a recognition/training scheme rolled out by the SLT which promotes best practice management for high performing members of staff with high future potential. Only a few staff members enrolled per year.
• Have obtained IOL membership (Member of Institute of Leadership) through management courses completed.

• Promoted within Strabag UK to Senior QS, and promotion of role within SCS JV, operating as immediate support to Commercial Lead (Commercial Manager role).
• Responsible for production of Bottom-up-Forecast for S1 Tunnels section (Atlas Road / Euston Tunnels) collectively worth £550m+ at the time, as well as owning this forecast and reporting responsibility, including presentation to client.
• Completion of Atlas Road compound/site establishment (£40m) as well as delivery of Atlas Road Logistics Tunnel (£75m) - 1km single TBM tunnel drive.
• Experienced in pricing CE's up to £10m and ensuring their implementation, and have assisted the JV in being part of a team which have priced numerous substantial CE's worth up to £50m.
• Significant change control experience under Main Works Contract/Subcontracts resulting from client-driven change (PMI/CE's). Engaged in administering contract directly with client.

• Left Kilnbridge to join Strabag UK Ltd to obtain Main Contractor experience on a significant infrastructure project.
• Working on behalf of SCS (Strabag/Costain/Skanska) Railways JV to deliver HS2 London Tunnels scheme (£4bn project). Substantial infrastructure project building a high speed rail. Main Works Contract with client is NEC Option C, all subcontracts/supply contracts are from NEC suite of subcontracts.
• QS responsible for daily commercial duties for the S1 Euston Tunnels Asset (North Acton to Euston section), immediate support to Commercial Manager.
• Experienced in managing subcontract packages up to £25m+, responsible for production of F&R (Forecasting & Reconciliation) reports, and well experienced in bench-marking incentive budgets vs procurement results to establish procurement gains/loses.
• Responsibility to approve all spend via way of requisition approvals/WBS & budget allocation.

• Role as a QS in the Controlled Demolition & Civils / Structural Alterations area of the business, operated as a singular commercial lead on medium value projects (£1.00m - £3.00m), reporting into a divisional director.
• Achievements include delivering a complex Structural Alterations scheme on an NDA project in Westminster, London (£2.90m) at a desirable profit margin as the commercial lead QS. Experiences also in a support role on a larger value demolition project (£8.00m) on the Ultra Site of the Year (2019 & 2020) - A14, Huntingdon Scheme.

• Industry Placement Year - Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Concrete Cutting & Controlled Demolition field with some experience in Fire Protection & Structural Steel sectors, managing numerous low value projects simultaneously (up to £1.00m), and supporting role on a larger NDA project (£6.00m) undertaking a cut & lift controlled demolition scheme.
