The Operations Controller role at GGS is a critical role responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operational activities to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the airport. This position involves maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The Operations Controller will manage resources, respond to operational disruptions and emergencies, and facilitate clear communication among all airport stakeholders.

• Manage an entire airline outbound operation and inbound operation ensuring all SLAs within the several contracts we fulfill are met
• Deal with multiple issues that could arise throughout the day
• Keep delays and mistakes to a minimum
• Carry out vehicle security searches in accordance with both CAA and DFt regulations
• Pack carts/production trollies to the required standards and in accordance with passenger numbers
• Ensure production and off dock schedules are met
• Support all other departments and teams when and where required to maintain production/dispatch schedules
• Ensure all products and equipment meet the required standards before leaving the unit
• Make sure stock is rotated for maximum shelf life in dispatch and in the unit
• Ensure COSHH and HACCP are adhered to at all times
• Dependent on operational requirements and supervise the staff screening process (currently within the COVID guidelines)
• Met monthly time and budget targets
• Maintained excellent working knowledge of industry trends and offered impeccable support to end-users
• Trained and mentored employees to maximize team performance.

• I Would Deliver beds and assemble beds all over the south east, this involved a high level of customer service at a time where customers were naturally apprehensive of deliveries to their home environment due to Covid
• I regularly scored high on our in-house customer service surveys
• I left this role to start back at Alpha flight Service under the new company name of Newrest before I could fulfill my full working notice period due to the new job being a time sensitive start date.

• I worked in the buy on board and bonded logistics department at alpha flight services we would often be allocated & prepare over 500 flights a week
• I was a part of a team on shift where communication was paramount
• I would often stay late on my shift to prepare all IT for the following days buy on board shift
• I was made redundant from this role due to Covid

• In this Position I would sit in a truck and be taken to and from Gatwick airport Loading and unloading carts from the planes that had just landed
• I liaised with the air hostess and general public making sure to keep on time so as to not delay the plane

• I used to Manufacture Computers ready for schools and businesses to use and actioned any repairs if needed
• I was also involved in the management of Android Tablets and the deployment of their Applications
• Additional duties included taking phone calls for the shop front, expediting orders and stock for onsite engineers to ensure all stock was ready and on hand for any repairs the following day
• We also did half yearly stock takes.
