I live with my wife and my son in Zoetermeer south Holland. I am a dedicated, proactive, eager to learn new skills, resilient with a keen eye for detail and having a team player attitude while being confident working autonomously in a complex work environment. I come to the Netherlands as a recipient of the Netherlands government scholarship program (Nuffic/OKP) for my master's degree, which I successfully completed in 2021. Upon completing my studies, my original plan was to return to Ethiopia and make a significant contribution to the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and my former organization. Regrettably, due to the war conflict in Tigray region Ethiopia, I found myself displaced as a refugee. At the moment, I have a residency and work permit in the Netherlands and working as a community volunteer, attending Dutch language class in school and participating in personal development training hosted by Ithaka Academie. I am proficient in English, while Tigrinya and Amharic are my native languages.
