CICS TS for z/OS and IBM MQ for z/OS system engineering/system programmer support for customer systems in collaboration with client and other technical teams in a high availability global environment:

· Responsible for installation, customization, maintenance, upgrade of CICS TS for z/OS, CICSPlex SM , CICS Transaction Gateway, IBM MQ for z/OS and related IBM/ISV (third party) tools such: Omegamon for CICS, BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID for CICS(formerly Compuware AbendAid for CICS), BMC AMI DevX Code Debug for CICS (formerly Compuware XPEDITER CICS), BOSHelp, BOSSkip, MFAST, MTEXT, VTAS.

· Adjust CICS TS for z/OS, IBM MQ for z/OS and related SW parameters, settings in order to achieve best performance and reliability.

· Create and modify CICS TS RDO and IBM MQ object definitions.

· Experience with CICSPlex administration with CICS WUI, IBM MQ queue sharing groups and clustering.

· Problem determination and root cause analysis of complex issues

· Provide dumps, traces for analysis and problem determination with vendor support.

· Cooperation with internal and external partners – various mainframe specialist teams, SW developers, client - to quickly resolve incidents, support real time business functions and fulfill customer requests, ensure Service Level Agreements.

· Document all activities in change, incident, service request records.

· Create and keep up to date technical documentations, working instructions.

· Follow local and global rules to meet compliance requirements.

· Provide data and participate in audit sessions

· Build new CICS TS and IBM MQ environments on existing LPARs on in a brand new mainframe servers/sysplexes.

· Participate in various projects eg.: new environment establishment or sunset of existing servers, business separation, HW move.

· Support Disaster recovery and Dress rehearsal tests.

· Constantly update knowledge to keep up with the latest technical information and security requirements.

Provide on call support

Handling severity 1-4 incidents on customer systems (second level support)

· Installation, customization and maintenance of different software products: (E)JES, STROBE, File-AID MVS, EOS, MVS Quick Ref, R3S, SoftAudit

· Printer installation and customization in JES2 and JES3 environment: (PSF and IPS printers)

· Application development using TSO/E REXX Programming Language and ISPF Dialog Manager facilities

· Participate in the implementation of new storage HW

· Backup and recovery processes including disaster recoveries

· Manage storage administration related applications (DFSMShsm, DFSMSrmm, SAWR, Automated Tape Allocation Manager

System IPL –s

· System monitoring with help of automation tools (Focal Point SDF, AO Manager) and active checks

· identify system messages and take actions according to the operator responsibility

· check productive daily batchjob flow in the OPC(TWS) Current Plan

· add applications to the TWS (OPC) Current Plan

· handling batchjobs ended in error

· create new production batchjobs according to the customer request

· create new TWS (OPC) applications

· modify existing applications, operations in the TWS (OPC) Current Plan and Application Description

Support and troubleshooting of various tool machines, robots and the associated IT system in the production of IBM HDD read/write heads, so called sliders.
