Currently finishing the third-year student at Maastricht University, concluding studying at the Maastricht Science Program which has helped shape my education towards an evolutionary biology, tropical, marine biology and ecological direction. Characterized by open-mindedness and a global outlook on life, thanks to the experience with traveling and living in different countries since a young age, pursuing passions and goals of researching biodiversity and flourishing life of oceans and tropical rainforests. Specifically looking into conservation matters and sustainability in the realm of marine and tropical biology.
Developed strong teamwork abilities through active participation and leadership roles given the history of group projects in the Maastricht Science Program, and the challenges which arise with it, ensuring collaboration, communication, and a cooperative approach towards achieving common goals.
Demonstrated commitment and proficiency in a wide range of interests, including photography, writing, horse riding, and swimming, showcasing versatility and a well-rounded skill set. These skills collectively contribute to a well-rounded and adaptable individual, prepared to excel in any environment that values diversity, collaboration, and personal initiative.
Improved organizational efficiency by streamlining volunteer onboarding processes while promoting environmental awareness with educational workshops and hands-on activities. Helped mentor new volunteers, creating a supportive and inclusive team environment. Contributed to helping the zoo increase the environmental awareness offered to the public and worked on enrichments for the animal habitats present.
