Introduction
Mr. Djoek Vogel is a highly accomplished hospital pharmacist and procurement expert with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. With a career spanning over a decade, he has consistently demonstrated expertise in managing high-cost medicines, procurement strategies, and enhancing medication accessibility. Currently, he leads national initiatives at the Landelijk Coördinatiecentrum Geneesmiddelen (National Coordination Center for Medicines), ensuring the affordability and availability of essential drugs across the Netherlands.
As Director of the Inkoopvereniging Ziekenhuisapotheken Noord- en Oost Nederland (IZON), Mr. Vogel oversees the procurement strategies for a network of 12 hospitals, focusing on optimizing costs and patient outcomes. Additionally, as an interim hospital pharmacist, he has contributed to various healthcare institutions, both in the Netherlands and internationally.
