TBV Lugus is the study association for all students of Industrial Engineering and Management, Mechanical Engineering and Systems & Control at the University of Groningen. Lugus has over 700 members from all different tracks and years and is growing every year. With over 100 active members Lugus organizes social, educational and career-oriented activities.

Lugus Congress, formerly known as Technology and Society Congress (TaSC), is a yearly congress organised by the study association of TBV Lugus. It offers their students a unique day on which they can explore their career options as well as broaden their knowledge of the theme of the congress. The congress hosts multiple speakers with different backgrounds. As a secretary I was primarily involved in the planning of the event and reaching out to companies in the fields of technology, engineering, and consultancy.

Learning Assistant in the 2023-2024 AY and 2024-2025 AY for BSc. Industrial Engineering and Management for the courses: Calculus 1 (for IEM), Linear Algebra (for IEM), Calculus 2 (for IEM), Fluid Dynamics, Dynamics of Engineering Systems

GEARS is an up-and-coming student association with members from several Dutch higher education institutions. GEARS is set to comprise and support student teams and various student-led initiatives. Makercie is one such team participating in the in the European Rover Challenge and winning first place in the Remote/On-line category in 2023.

As a member of Human Resources and Acquisitions departments, my duties involved:

• Recruiting and conducting interviews for the prospective members of the association
• Maintaining the records of the members of the association
• Resolving any arising conflicts within the departments
• Finding potential long-term strategic partners for the association
• Acquiring the finance and material resources for the team's operations

Working in a dynamic team of 5 people, my duties as a member of the LCT committee primarily involved:

• Organizing a three-day excursion to Rotterdam to visit various technical, engineering, and consultancy companies with a group of 30 people
• Communicating and networking with companies relevant to the field of Industrial Engineering & Management
• Promoting the event to students of Industrial Engineering & Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Systems & Control
