Following specific protocols, performed electronic datamining examinations seeking appropriate candidates for RPM program. These names are then added to data management systems that is accessible to core team, who then may offer these individuals living with set specific illnesses, coaching and education from the comfort of their own home. Also, decreasing their need for ER visits.

Performed electronic datamining examinations on behalf of Refuge Health Clinic to gather critical information on whereabouts and provider status of those previously seen. This information was compiled in data management systems and sent to management for analysis.

Delivered age appropriate care to medically complex infants, children, and youth ICU patients. Coordinated care with all in-patient units/ departments of the Janeway. Mentored Graduate Nurses in proper technique, using care standards while following NLHS policies. Provided teaching to parents whose children would be discharged home with gastrostomy tubes, tracheostomys, and long-term ventilators. This role included being member of pediatric code blue team, overseeing interdisciplinary rounds, making sure PICU skill mix was safe for acuity on any given day, as well as planning discharges of medically complex children to rural regions.

Administered care to diverse population on 41 bed floor with 1:4 ratio on day shift, or 1:6 ratio (on nights) predominately consisting of GI surgeries. Assessed surgical incisions, drains, chest tubes and changed ostomy appliances on post operative patients. As well, performed complex dressing changes including V.A.C. therapy. Provided social and emotional support to those struggling with altered body image after requiring ostomy appliance post operatively.
