• Greatly expanded scope to include facility operations and projects at 37 separate Intel facilities in 8 countries (3+K employees, 65+Km2 of real estate), including EMEA Research & Design Centres, Field Sales Offices and Logistic Distribution Centres,
• Main focus was on strategic outsourcing of integrated facility services, optimizing facility operations across an expanded real estate portfolio and improvement of environmental, health & safety programs, and sustainability initiatives in particular.

Outcomes:

• EMEA Core Team member supporting Integrated Facility Management strategic outsourcing partnerships; key contributor to determine outsourcing scope, capabilities, KPIs and overall IMF aims and objectives for region; reduced overall cost of EMEA facility ownership (by 35%), achieving $20+m p.a. in cost savings, 2010-on,
• Drove optimization programs for all building preventative and corrective maintenance programs, physical security and security systems, front of house soft services (custodial, café) realizing further facility operating savings of $10m per year, 2012-on,
• Completed designation as Certified Facility Manager, Arizona State University, 2010-’11,
• Drove building space optimization programs, reducing EMEA real estate holdings by 20%, 2018-on,
• Supported implementation of fatality prevention programs, pre-task planning methodology and on-going risk assessments implemented across region helped reduce injury recordable rates to well below OHSA average of 2.7, 2010-on,
• Reduced energy consumption (by 20%) across portfolio and increased solid waste recycling to 95% of total, 2010-on.

• Managed Intel’s EMEA finished goods distribution centre, a strategic 24/7 logistics and manufacturing hub. 1999-on,
• Delivered major projects at Amsterdam Logistics HQ, including HVAC system upgrades, emergency generator capacity expansion, data centre refurbishment, life safety system remediation, 2002-on,
• Focused on business continuity / risk & emergency management to ensure that Interruption to service was eliminated or greatly reduced.

Outcomes:

• Supported $15m project to fit-up new leased warehouse facility and without business interruption moved entire logistics and office operation to new location, 2004-2005,
• Reliability: Improved building reliability of critical systems to consistently 98+%, 2006; reduced overall mean time to recovery by 60%, (2007) through enhanced use of building monitoring systems,
• Led facility, safety and security sections of our successful ISO9001 Implementation, 2007-on,
• Intel at Schiphol Airport voted ‘Safest Warehouse in NL’ by Dutch Transportation and Warehouse branch organization in 2007.

Held two leadership roles in an international context: Platoon Commander (1989-’92) and Logistics Officer (1992-’98).

• Initially, led an Infantry platoon of 35, supporting their health and well-fair and preparing them for operational deployment world-wide,
• Then, managed logistics planning to support movement of Canadian military personnel and their equipment and vehicles to UN and NATO operational theatres around the world.
