During my time on the Economics Pioneers team, I gained experience in carrying out rigorous research on various development economics issues. Through it, not only was I exposed to a more comprehensive understanding of important economic concepts, but also had the opportunity to hone my analytical and critical capabilities. As I learned on a range of topics—everything from poverty and inequality to sustainable development and international trade—I found out how to break down complicated ideas and express them both concisely and vividly.
In so doing, I developed my ability to organize written work effectively, tailor content to different audiences, and construct arguments based on evidence and statistics. I also gained more confidence in handling new topics through intensive research and reflective thinking. Overall, the project constituted an integral part of my intellectual development, enhancing communication and independent, creative thinking abilities in solving real economic problems
During my exchange, I actively sought to broaden my horizons and embraced novel experiences, one of which was delving into the world of theatre, with a particular focus on its technical aspects. Taking on diverse responsibilities, I immersed myself in organizing sets, meeting stringent deadlines, and gaining a profound understanding of the intricate workings "behind the scenes."
This enriching journey also provided me with a unique opportunity to step onto the stage and perform a small role in the year-end play, "The Play That Goes Wrong." This experience not only expanded my skill set but also ignited a passion for the art of theater, demonstrating the transformative power of embracing new challenges and stepping outside one's comfort zone.
During my exchange year, I seized the opportunity to establish a competitive business club ''The DECA Club''. I am sincerely grateful for the chance to contribute to the school, given its absence of academically oriented clubs. Throughout this period, I successfully undertook various responsibilities and achieved notable milestones.
