• Successfully upgraded SAS 9.4 m3 to SAS 9.4 m6 version
• Implemented a SAS and Databricks connection
• Automated server-level daily health checks using shell scripts

• Implemented a new Tire9 NFS storage on SAS servers for archive, and migrated from Tire2 (SASArchive) to Tire9 - WORM storage
• Automated storage utilization and access reports using SAS and shell scripts, which were sent to the SAS administration on a daily basis
• Automated Max LSF jobs for the top 15 users and shared the report via email using SAS and shell scripts
• Tracked applicable SAS hot fixes and created implementation plans for respective SAS modules and applications
• Identified performance issues and recommended/implemented tuning of active SAS environment(s) providing projected capacity shortfalls

Additionally, I established best practices and guidelines for SAS BI usage, provided guidance and assistance to SAS Developers on operational and technical issues, monitored and logged SAS servers and optimized memory usage, and documented best practices for the SAS Application server from a scalability perspective. Furthermore, I monitored the SAS user addition and deletion report on a daily basis and effectively troubleshooted technical problems, with strong experience working with Linux command and shell scripting.

My contribution, my achievements and results:

• Contributed to development and maintenance of two key projects at Cisco.
• Played a significant role in the development of the Cisco Prime Network Services Controller (Cisco PNSC), a virtual appliance designed to enable centralized device and security policy management for Cisco virtual services.
• Primary responsibilities involved automating test cases using Python for newly implemented features, enhancing the PNSC backend code to integrate the TACACS+ library with the PNSC code, resolving customer defects, and improving the Adobe Flex GUI.
• Was responsible for enhancing and maintaining the code for PPP, PPPOE, and VPDN modules for Cisco products.
• Implemented code to increase the L2TP and PPPOE session limit, analyzed the behavior on active and standby devices through scoping, and resolved customer defects on VPDN and PPPOE modules.

• Generated design documents for the RTSP trickplay feature, which primarily concerns the Transport Stream over RTSP.
• Developed the Trick Play feature (including seek, fast-forward, and rewind) for a gstreamer-based application, modifying the Gstreamer plugin when necessary.
• Generated a unit test plan for the feature and performed unit testing, resolving any bugs found within the given time frame.
• Implemented RTP streaming for a Gstreamer-based application.
• Written sudo code to support RTP streaming, generated a design document for the same, and modifying the existing application to support RTP streaming.
• Have analyzed ways to reduce the channel change time for IP TV.
• Have written dummy code to test different methods and generated a design document to implement the most effective solution.
