

I have a background of experience in the Production and manufacturing of equipment since I left school, starting off working at a garage where I completed my apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
I moved on to work on with larger equipment in the food industry where I was part of an installation team and later moving to the company that I presently work at becoming a Lead in the engineering team.
I decided several years ago that my interests were with the Health and safety side of the job and proceeded to gain the required qualifications to become a Health and Safety professional.
I currently have meetings with the American side of the company to demonstrate that we conform to the standards that are set by the HSE and take part in weekly discussions regarding the requirements compared to that of the OSHA regulations that they adhere to.
I am very passionate about the role that I carry out as it is ensuring peoples safety and am very particular to detail.
I carry out all risk assessments in my current role and complete permits to work ensuring all Rams meet the required specifications.
In this Role I now take care of the Health and safety of all employees at the Bridgend and work as an advisor to the facility in Slough.
I monitor and maintain the standards that we have now achieved at Bridgend and ensure that we meet the requirements that are needed to maintain our ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations.
I am currently working towards applying for the ISO 45001 Accreditation at Bridgend.
Worked as an assembly engineer for 4 years for the company where we manufactured ground support equipment for the MOD, UN and airports worldwide.
After 4 years I had promotion to a team leader in charge of overseeing the production of all products.
This role I stayed in until I decided to have a change of career in the company and started working on projects in the Quality and health and safety areas as this was an area that I had gained an interest in.
