• Focus on this role is on Statutory & Stakeholder Management on behalf of DNV Group as well as Positioning, X-Business Area business development and Employer Branding of DNV in the Netherlands. Team has grown from 450 to 650 employees over the last 5 years
• Chair of Country Management Team Netherlands, facilitating X-Business Area discussions to reach consensus and drive decision-making, while providing leadership and direction to ensure smooth operations. This includes 4 rounds of successful annual Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) negotiations with labour unions.
• As part of the corporate "buy & build" inorganic strategy, overseeing the integration of 4 acquired small to medium sized companies into the DNV Group structure.

• Interim senior leadership role with P&L responsibility for the services area in this large, diverse and complex region. Assigned to the role as "trusted pair of hands".
• Integrated 2 acquired companies into the service portfolio, onboarding them to DNV's CRM, ERP and Finance systems as well as the DNV ways of working regarding sales and delivery of services.
• Turned around 2 loss making units back to profitability within 6 months.
• Service portfolio includes: Transactions & Business Advisory, Energy Markets Analytics and Power Price Forecasting services; Quantitative and Qualitative Environmental, Social and Safety Risk Management services; Power System Planning, Digital System Operations and Power Grid Asset Management services

• Commercial Director role aimed at positioning and growing DNV's business in emerging offshore wind countries
• Skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Doubled sales 3 years consecutively.
• Focus countries are the floating wind markets in the Mediterranean Sea and bottom-fixed market in Brazil
• Furthermore, supporting DNV’s key accounts in these regions with their global portfolio of offshore wind projects and operations

• P&L responsible for the largest region in the DNV Business Area Oil & Gas (this business area merged with Business Area Power & Renewable in2021)
• The region comprised of teams in 12 countries, totaling >500 employees and a annual turnover >$100M and boosting profitability to double-digit levels by means of a combination of capturing more market share through strategic initiatives and partnerships as well as increased operational efficiency through streamlining processes and resource sharing.
• The focus of the business area Oil & Gas was supporting customers across the Oil & Gas value chain from Upstream (offshore) exploration & production, Midstream transportation & distribution as well as downstream refining, marketing and end-use
• The service portfolio constitutes third party Certification, Verification, Monitoring and Marine Warranty services as well as broad portfolio of advisory services related to Risk Management, Asset Management, Asset Integrity Management, Marine Operations, Research and Testing services

• Representative of the Business Area Oil & Gas into the DNV Group strategy definition project for the strategy period 2021-2025
• Guided by Deloitte Monitor, the project applied the “Playing to Win” approach by Lafley a.o. for strategy definition
• Subsequently this strategy project led to the creation of the business area Energy Systems, combining business areas Oil & Gas and Power & Renewables
• During this strategy period involved in various roll-outs of DNV Group and business area Energy Systems strategy to operational units, applying Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking approaches to boost their performance
• The 2021-2025 DNV strategy will result in 50% growth of the company over the strategy at 15% EBIT level and has been given the accolades at the "best strategy ever" of the 160 yr old company by its Board of Directors.

• P&L responsibility for DNV's O&G activities in the Netherlands, with annual revenue > €30m.
• Developed comprehensive business plans for maximizing revenue and expanding market presence. Grew DNV's market share in verification services towards the upstream offshore business in the Netherlands from 0 to 60% in 3 yrs.
• Head Gas Consulting Services business of DNV in Continental Europe, comprising of a set of teams providing services to the Gas Industry and an annual revenue of > €20m, with a global leading position in Research and Testing in the areas of Hydrogen, Carbon Capture and Storage, Synthetic and E-Fuels, Biogas and Multi-phase flow Metrology

• P&L responsible for of a business unit of technical consulting professionals organized in 6 services categories directed at the energy market
• Responsible for the integration of two units into one, defining and executing a new strategy realizing sustainable profitable growth of >10% annually by the introduction of new consultancy services and business models
• Setting-up and growing International Business for the entire Kiwa Technology Division
• Successfully created an order book of > €2,000,000 and further leads > €3,000,000 from business in Europe, Israel, Egypt and Turkey

During a 13 year career at Philips, I held various leadership positions related to Innovation, Technology and Product Development of consumer products, among which:

• Director of the Product Quality for the Business Group Domestic Appliances in Drachten, the Netherlands and member of the management team. Successfully supported >10 new product launches, including the Philips Airfryer (result of Open Innovation).
• Managing a portfolio of high impact business improvement projects for the 4 categories of the Business Group Domestic Appliances (DA), with a total cost saving impact of >2.5m
• Business Division Consumer Lifestyle's Open Innovation leader. Thought leader and pioneer of web and network based approach of finding and contracting external and unconventional sources of Ideas, Materials and Technologies. 12 technologies and innovative concepts sourced through this approach found their way into new product launches.
• Director Metals & Processing, leading competence cluster of metal science and manufacturing technologies comprising of >25 experts within the Philips Advanced Technology Center in Drachten. The materials and manufacturing technologies behind successful innovations as Philips One-blade and Sonicare electric toothbrush was developed by this cluster.
