Global Sector Head Agri Food

The Global Sector Head (GSH) steers SNV's agri food sector globally, ensuring the development of (new) tools and approaches, monitoring quality of projects being implemented and coordinates positioning of SNV in the sector globally. Works in close collaboration with other GSHs, with Theme Leads, Sector Leaders, Project Managers and Country Directors.

  • Positions and represents SNV pro actively at relevant external events and in relevant networks
  • Strengthen relations with key partners at global level, for example with DGIS/IGG, Danida, SDC, Ikea Foundation and GEA.
  • Feeds Business Development with sector information, provides technical guidance and steering to Prospect Teams, conducts quality assurance checks within the sector.
  • Develops with senior leadership framework approaches to include system change and improve coherence in project design, implementation and learning within the sector and between sectors and themes.
  • stimulates and facilitates sharing and application of knowledge and innovation within and across countries, sectors and themes resulting in more coherence, innovation and quality of SNVs technical expertise
