  • Have responded immediately to dangerous situations where there were reports of a firearm or knife.
  • Assisted Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and Drug Unit with calls where there was potential for firearms.
  • Have been involved in lengthy standoffs throughout my career (some of which TRU were called to attend)
  • Responded to calls where officers were injured and required additional support to apprehend a suspect.
  • Enforced traffic laws and ordinances through visual observation and radar speed detection.
  • Safely and successfully cleared multiple homes with my firearm deployed (one of which there were reports of a death by firearm inside the home).
  • Assisted on Homicide files where I canvased the area for witnesses, video and also preserved evidence until sized by IDENT.
  • Assisted with negotiating on armed and barricaded persons.
  • Trained as a Drone Pilot and have successfully deployed Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) to assist officers on calls for service.
  • Trained Coach officer and currently assigned a recruit constable / cadet.

Additional Information

  • I am a Police constable with nearly 7 years of police service. Throughout my career, I have responded to an abundance of emergency situation of all variety of call types. Some of those call types being high risk situations. I have tackled these calls with a level of confidence, assessing risk, being situationally aware and remaining a sense of calmness. I have been apart of several standoffs and have cleared homes with my firearm (including a call where there was a report of a sudden death involving a firearm). I have responded to calls of armed and barricaded persons as well as calls involving people having a firearm which all came to peaceful outcomes. I have assisted the Tactics and Rescue Unit as a street patrol officer on several occasions where they required additional resources to assist with their operation.
  • I work well with others, the safety of the community an other officers are of utmost importance to me.
  • During Range Days, I push myself to become more and more proficient, always wanting to better myself.
  • Recently, I have received training in courses that would allow me to be an asset on the TRU team (ex. Remotely Piloted Aircraft System Operator and Carbine Operator).
  • I am currently a coach officer to a recruit of the Atlantic Police Academy. Furthermore, I have been someone that Junior Constables have gone to for advice with their investigations as well as calls for service.
  • I consider myself a leader and team player with a knowledge of the job but also always willing to learn from others and become a better officer to the community I serve.
